big boy – the ultimate nostalgic funko pop!
Did you grow up getting Bob’s Big Boy piggy banks from your great grandma every couple years? I know my brother and I did! Our Great Grandma Jenny had quite the collection of these Big Boy banks and they somehow ended up ours.
I never went to a Big Boy Restaurant, but if you do a quick google search you will see there were some statues of the restaurant’s mascot that stood 16 feet tall outside of their iconic chains.
When I saw that Funko Pop! was going to be creating a 10″ vinyl figure of this iconic childhood mascot I told Joe we had to get our hands on it! This was an unboxing that was fun to capture, I could tell that this Big Boy with his racing one-piece made Joe just as happy as I did. That is the joy about collectables, popular culture, iconic places and people in time.
One of the reasons why we love to collect Funko Pop! vinyl figures and sharing them with you is the good vibes it brings back when you see your favorite movie character, cartoon or even president in the smallest but funnest form.
